Community raises funds through 'GoFundMe' to aid in search efforts for Caleb Harris

Those funds will be used for resources needed to aid in bringing Caleb home.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —

The GoFundMe for Caleb Harris is now growing to over $40,000. Harris' family says the money will go towards search and rescue efforts for Caleb.

Caleb’s father tells 3-NEWS another GoFundMe has been created by friends.

The second account has raised close to $13,000.

These two are the only legitimate GoFundMe’s for the family.

The story below is before the update.

Corpus Christi police still hard at work, joined by the community, as they continue their search for 21-year-old TAMUCC student, Caleb Harris.

He's been missing since Monday.

Although there are no new updates to the case, police are urging anyone with information that could help lead them to Caleb to contact them at 886-2840.

In the meantime, the community, family and friends of Harris continue to offer their support.

A GoFundMe page was made to fund the family's search efforts and in one day raised $34,000.

Those funds will be used for resources needed to aid in bringing Caleb home.
