CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Kleberg County firefighters and area volunteer crews are working to contain a large brushfire Wednesday on the King Ranch.
Kingsville city manager Mark McLaughlin told 3NEWS the fire is burning along Texas State Hwy. 141, between Hwy. 281 and Hwy. 77 across from the Kleberg County Airport, but is big enough to be seen from city hall.
He said the fire has been contained to about 50-60 acres, and began in a pile of grain in an open field.
This is a developing story. 3NEWS will provide updates as they become available.
