Pack of Javelinas found in neighborhood

Sightings of javelinas have been ramping up lately, and residents haven't seen any significant damage or injuries.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — People who live near Greenwood and Holly have said a pack of wild animals have taken over their neighborhood and they aren't quite sure what to do about it.

According to residents on Frio Street, the javelinas usually come at night from a nearby brush area in search of food.

Some residents have said that the wild animals are also terrorizing their dogs causing them to bark at all hours of the night, which is keeping neighbors from getting a good nights rest.

"One morning about 8 o'clock I saw five across the street," Luis Amador said.

"There's a pack of them, at least 5 or 6 of them together. I would be scared for any other animal out here loose because they are pretty wild animals, so you never know what will happen," neighbor Monica Long said.
