Corpus Christi (Kiii News) — Corpus Christi police are looking for a man they say caused a car accident on Everhart Rd. at Holly Rd. overnight. It was just after 2:30 a.m. when authorities say a man driving an SUV ran a red light and slammed into a woman in a car as she was turning.
The man then ran away on foot before police could arrive. Police say the whole thing could have been avoided if the man had just stopped. The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She is expected to be okay.
Police are still searching for the driver of that SUV.
