ARANSAS PASS, Texas — The Aransas Pass Police Department sent a reminder to residents Tuesday that popping fireworks inside the city limits is against the law, but there are places where you can enjoy your Fourth of July with fireworks.

Police said if you pop fireworks inside the city limits it will result in the issue of a ticket. However, they do not regulate the popping of fireworks east of the Dale Miller Bridge.

The APPD also reminded residents that they are invited to the City's Independence Day celebration and fireworks show. For more information, click here.

For those living in the newly annexed areas of Aransas Pass, the fireworks ordinance will not apply this Fourth of July. The Mayor and City Manager are planning to host a special council meeting July 9 to discuss the fireworks ordinance.
