The director of the Corpus Christi Marina, Peter Davidson, is hoping to move out of his temporary headquarters soon.
The marina offices have been housed out of trailers for the past 17 years. It was only supposed to be for a short time until the city built a permanent building.
But now that the lease is up on the trailers, Davidson wants to say bon voyage to the structures.
"I would love to see a copy of the original Corpus Christi Lighthouse built from back in the 1857 up on the bluff above the Caller Times. In that area that was a gorgeous building and we just would like to modernize it and have something that would have some history to it, says Davidson.
