CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One Corpus Christi church celebrated Father's Day a little differently. Church of Hope called it the 'Dad Fest and Benefit Car Show,' an event that honored all dads and gave back to the community.
"We just wanna bring the community together, have a good time and enjoy Father's Day the way it should be enjoyed: cars," Josue Rivera Class said.
Owners of rare or unique cars were invited to drive to the church's campus in Calallen.
Various vendors joined the celebration and there were different activities for children.
The funds that were raised during the event will go towards Church of Hope's Children's Ministry and the Roever Foundation. To learn more about the organization check out their website.
