They were once fugitives from the law then they were apprehended and returned to Corpus Christi. Now the former owners of the Two Georges restaurant will be allowed to leave the state. But only long enough to retrieve personal items.

Michelle Chapman and her husband, Jim Ovecka, went before 94th District Court Judge Bobby Galvan to ask that they be allowed to return to Arizona. They told the court they want to get their belongings and return back to Corpus Christi.

The pair pleaded not guilty to charges of defrauding their former customers by over charging them thousands of dollars.

The two are set to go to trial later this year.
