UPDATE: Falfurrias Family Pharmacy begins repairs after truck drives into building Wednesday night

The family pharmacy says they are fully operational and continue to use delivery and curbside for their customers.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Falfurrias Family Pharmacy is quickly working to make sure they are up and running before the end of the week.

The community staple was temporarily closed after a truck crashed into the building on Wednesday night around 8 p.m.

For the time being, the business plans on continuing services through delivery and curbside to their customers.

The pharmacy's lobby and drive-through are temporarily out of service while they repair the east side of the building, but they are still making free deliveries to Falfurrias customers and those in surrounding counties.

You can call 361-325-2662 to set up a delivery or for us to walk your prescriptions to your car (outside of the parking lot).

Police said Wednesday that powerlines were hanging very low and the poles keeping them up are leaning over due to the accident. Crews were working to address the situation and residents were asked not to use the parking lot or roadway in the area, with officers saying that if power lines were snagged, it could bring down the poles and create a more dangerous situation.

Vice president Joe Vargas issued a statement addressing the Falfurrias community overnight, saying they "are dedicated to restoring full operation."
