CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An accidental shooting is under investigation in Aransas Pass
First responders were sent out to the 500 blk of West Yoakum.
When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Philip Esslinger with a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to investigators, a shotgun accidentally discharged after being worked on by another occupant at the location.
Essingler was immediately taken to an emergency room where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation will continue, according to the authorities.
