CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A hearing in the cases against Amanda Talbert and Noraier George Manassian was postponed Thursday.

The two, who are accused of taking sexual advantage of young girls and grooming them for prostitution, were scheduled to be in Judge Missy Medary's 347th District courtroom Thursday, but the appearance was postponed to give the Texas Attorney General's Office more time to be able to make an in-person appearance.

The hearing is now scheduled to take place May 2.

Calallen-area bar owner Talbert is charged with indecency with a child, and 80-year-old Manassian is charged with sexual assault of a child and solicitation of prostitution for a person under 18 years of age.

The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission received a tip that Manassian was paying girls under 18 years old for sex in August 2023. They agency opened an investigation into him that led to his February arrest in which he is accused of propositioning an undercover AG's office agent online posing as a 16-year-old girl, and offering her $2,000 for sex.

He was arrested with condoms and $2,000 cash at the prearranged meeting site, the Omni hotel in Downtown Corpus Christi.

Talbert is accused of finding the girls Manassian had sex with, and a previous alleged victim said Talbert also touched her inappropriately while Manassian had sex with her friend. The girls reportedly were 16 years old at the time.

The girl then told authorities that she said Manassian hand Talbert a large amount of money, which Talbert partially used to pay the girls. She reportedly put the rest in her purse.
