AEP-Texas issued a news release Thursday outlining its readiness plan for the next few days, saying crews in all Texas districts are on alert and will be ready to respond.

Director of corporate communications with AEP Texas, Omar Lopez, joined us live in studios and advised residents to have a plan for possible outages especially those who have medical equipment that is electricity dependent.

"We also remind people it's important to have an emergency kit with a flashlight and a radio, charge all of your mobile devices, make sure your car is full of fuel and have some food an water for about two days," Lopez said "We just don't know what the weather is going to be like."
