ROBSTOWN, Texas — The Parade of Champions made its way through the main arena at the Fairgrounds Saturday morning.
Students who came out on top at this year's Nueces County Junior Livestock Show were celebrated for their hard work.
Some of them even received scholarships to help further their dreams.
Organizers say many of those students come back to Nueces County and give back to the community that raised them, and that the livestock show is like one big family.
"You just can't beat the lessons that are learned here. there is so much to offer through FFA and 4-H in general and in many projects throughout the year, but this on especially really brings our county together," said Reagan Ivey, of the NCJLS Scholarship Committee.
"It's just such a community atmosphere to be here. you just can't find that many places," Ivey added.
Ivey says that the lessons learned in these programs are carried with members for the rest of their lives.
