CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Wesley Community Center is one of over 60 nonprofit organizations taking part in the Coastal Bend Day of Giving on Nov. 14.
For over 80 years the community center has been devoted to their mission to "help those who need it," here in the Coastal Bend. They do this particularly through the programs they offer for homeless women with children.
They have two locations one in Corpus Christi and the other in Robstown.
Executive Director MaLinda Faughn said that donations from Day of Giving help them continue their programs like their childcare (2 weeks to age 12) program.
The Wesley Community Center has participated in the Day of Giving every year since it started 15 years ago.
