Prop A and more: What's on the ballot this Tuesday?

Voters will finally decide on these propositions and bonds for the Nov. 7 election.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Voters will finally decide on the fate of 'Proposition A,' on Tuesday. Here is a quick reminder of what that means for you and your ballot on Nov. 7.

City leaders would like to repurpose the city's existing quarter cent sales tax and the money to not only repair and maintain the Seawall, but also to improve regional parks.

The money will also go toward street repairs, road improvements and attracting more direct flights to our airport.

It would allow for funding and renovations to the Selena Auditorium, the Arena and the Convention Center.

One major contention of the proposal involves the city's participation in a 'convention center hotel' that would be built and managed by the private sector.

This final portion of the proposal seems to be the most controversial.

Several south Texas school districts are also putting bond proposals on this November's ballot.

Tuloso-Midway voters will decide whether any or all of Bond 2023 will become a reality.

Voters will be able to decide for or against funding for a new junior high campus and career and technical education center.

They will also decide on the following:

--new safety and security upgrades to all campuses

--new buses

--natatorium upgrades.

--upgrades to baseball, softball and tennis facilities

Over at Ingleside-- 19-million dollars for upgrades are on the ballot for:

-district wide security and safety upgrades

-a new physical education facility at the high school

-new school busses

-new playground equipment

-and new lighting for the high school student parking lot

Three Rivers will include approving funds to renovate school facilities through buying new school buses-- upgrading technology and equipping athletic school facilities.
