CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A big announcement was given Wednesday night for residents in San Patricio County.
Longtime sheriff Leroy Moody announced that he plans to retire.
In a Facebook post from Moody, he said that after 54-years of service his last day would be March 31.
According to Moody, he is looking forward to spending more time with his family.
