Second Bishop house fire breaks out over weekend

Bishop Police said that all occupants were able to get out of the house safely and no injuries are being reported.

BISHOP, Texas — A second Bishop home was lost to a house fire over the weekend.

Bishop and surround fire departments spent Saturday morning

Two people were injured after a large fire broke out in their residence. Several firefighters rushed to the 700 block of E. 6th Street, in Bishop, Texas.

This blaze comes just a day after a fire in the same town drew a strong mutual aid response from surrounding fire departments on Saturday.

The Bishop Police Department said that the house was fully engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived.

They managed to put it out, but the home was a total loss.

The cause of the fire  still under investigation.
