CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police told 3NEWS a teen is facing charges after he told them he accidentally shot his firearm in a Southside gym.
It happened at the Crunch Fitness off of Saratoga and Staples before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Officers made contact with the 18-year-old teen at an emergency room near the gym, he told police he was searching through his gym bag when the fire arm went off and that it was an accident.
Police say he was shot in the hand and had non-life threatening injuries.
He faces a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
