CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — TxDOT is warning drivers to take extra precaution on major roadways as the solar eclipse inches closer on April 8.
Major Corpus Christi highways including I-37, US Highway 281 and US Highway 77 are just some which will likely have the most congestion.
It is important to plan ahead for possible delays and give yourself time to get to your destination, before and after the eclipse.
TxDOT is asking that drivers pull into a safe location to watch the eclipse and do not stop on the roadway or park on the shoulder to view it.
