Vector control is headed to Calallen area, targeting mosquitos this Monday

Teams will make their way to north Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff and the Island this week.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With rain chances back on the rise this week, the city's vector control is preparing for an increase in the mosquito population.  That is why they will be back out spraying tomorrow in the Calallen area. Teams will make their way to north Corpus Christi on Tuesday before heading over to Annaville on Wednesday.

Corpus Christi animal care services (CCACS) and vector control will begin spraying in the following areas of the city:

  • Monday, Oct. 23, routes 1, 2,3 - Calallen
  • Tuesday, Oct. 24, routes 9,10,11 – North Beach
  • Wednesday, Oct. 25, routes 4, 5, 7- Annaville
  • Thursday, Oct. 26, routes 27,28,29- Flour Bluff
  • Friday, Oct. 27, routes 30,31,32- Island

The spraying route schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions and wind speeds.
