CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A woman found herself in jail over the weekend after she reportedly assaulted a police officer.
Police responded to the scene when a car hit a pedestrian and a motorcyclist early Sunday morning at the intersection of Everhart and Saratoga.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The person on the motorcycle suffered minor injuries.
Investigators say 29-year-old Nicole Campbell was behind the wheel.
Detectives say she ran off from the crash but was later located.
When that officer tried to arrest Campbell, she hit struck him in the face multiple times.
The 29-year-old faces multiple charges including assaulting a law enforcement officer.
