ROCKPORT, Texas — The Rockport-Fulton Pirates stayed local with the hiring of their new football coach and athletic director, bringing over Eric Soza from Beeville Jones.
Soza has served as the Trojans' offensive coordinator for the last five seasons under his dad, Chris. The former Beeville quarterback was also the first QB in UTSA history when the program started back in 2012.
Rockport-Fulton will be his first head coaching gig after also serving as an assistant at Medina Valley and a graduate assistant at the University of Houston under Tom Herman.
Soza replaces Jacob Bible who resigned after a 2-9 record in his lone season with the Pirates.
