CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The high school softball playoffs are just days away from getting started, yet District 29-5A just determined its four playoff teams on Monday.
Veterans Memorial claimed its first district title in program history with a dominating 19-4 victory over Victoria East in four innings. The Eagles will be the #1 seed out of the district and will face Mission Veterans Memorial.
Gregory-Portland notched a 13-4 victory over Flour Bluff to secure the last playoff spot of the district. The Ladycats will face Carroll Tuesday at 5:30 PM (Cabaniss) to determine the #3 and #4 seeds.
