CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One Moody Trojans senior has become part of a historic signing class for Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Naudia Montalvo signed Wednesday to join the Javelinas' brand new stunt program. Montalvo will also join the A&M-Kingsville cheer team.
She talked about first thinking her cheer career was ending in high school, to now getting an opportunity to compete collegiately with the Javelinas.
"Since I was cheering when I was five years old, it's been my passion to cheer in college," Montalvo said. "I'm especially excited to be going into this new STUNT program."
The stunt team will begin competition in the spring of 2025. Four other schools currently have STUNT programs in the Lone Star Conference: Dallas Baptist, Texas Woman's, St. Mary's and UT-Tyler.
