Tres Garcia taking over as Tuloso-Midway's boys basketball head coach

Kingsville King's Tres Garcia has accepted the head coaching position at Tuloso-Midway for boys basketball.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The coaching carousel continues in the Coastal Bend. After longtime Tuloso-Midway boys basketball head coach Bobby Craig and T-M parted ways, the Warriors have found their next head coach. 

Tres Garcia has accepted the head coaching position at Tuloso-Midway. He spent the past three years in the same position for the Kingsville King Brahmas leading Kingsville to the region quarterfinals this past season. 

Garcia's team's are best known for it's aggressive defense and ability to shoot the three. His Brahmas broke the state record for the most three pointer in a single game this past season with 27. Now, he'll make the move to a school he is no stranger to, Garcia coached at Tuloso-Midway for six years before he took the Kingsville job. According to Garcia the decision to leave the Brahmas was not an easy one, "I just wanna say that this was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make. We had a historical run this year and my players are the ones I'm gonna miss the most. I am so thankful for them believing in me and accomplishing what we accomplished. I've got some big shoes to fill at T-M, but I am up for the challenge and look forward to it and bringing the same exciting brand of basketball we had in Kingsville."

Garcia also shared that he was thankful to Kingsville ISD for everything they did for him. That In the end he made a decision that was best for his family.
