Nine Del Mar College Students and three employees self isolating after two students test positive for COVID-19

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Thursday, June 25 Del Mar College announced they learned two students tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 24. 

According to the College the students are not in the same degree program and the cases are not related. 

The students are self isolating. Nine students and three employees are self isolating after coming into close contact with the students who tested positive for the virus. 

According to the College the exposures occurred on the West Campus. The College has disinfected the area. 

Yesterday Del Mar announced that fifteen students and two employees were self isolating.

The College received this information Wednesday, June 24. 

The College saying "The health and safety of our students and employees remain our top priority at Del Mar College." 

All College facilities remain closed to the public. 

According to the College restricted access for approved employees and designated students is allowed.
