CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Fire Department honored young hero Hunter Shaw with a 'Certificate of Merit' on Thursday.
Hunter was awarded the certificate for his courageous act when he noticed a classmate choking during lunch and took action, performing the Heimlich maneuver.
The fire department says his quick action saved his classmate's life.
