Kleberg County Junior Livestock Show students join First Edition!

Ever wanted to know what you can learn from raising a pig with an attitude? These students say the show teaches life skills & helps create amazing memories.

KLEBERG COUNTY, Texas — First Edition was joined by several students and their amazing animals this morning. The show promotes agriculture & supports the students of Kleberg-Kenedy County. 

Students have the opportunity to show their livestock, compete in homemaking contests and show off their skills. Several students joined us LIVE on First Edition this morning to let us know what they are up to!

These middle school students say the work it takes to raise and care for their animals is good for the younger generation.

Dakota Saenz is a King H.S. student participating in the Kleberg-Kenedy County Junior Livestock Show. He is showing his industrial art project- a wood nightside table with epoxy that took months to finish. He has shown almost every single species!

Campbell Redford has been part of the livestock show since she was four years old! Her dad and her brother have been a part of the show, and she says they inspire!
