Super Tuesday Voter Turnout numbers are in

Less than 16 percent of registered Nueces County voters cast a ballot this election cycle.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Early voting totals are in after Super Tuesday.

In Nueces County, 15.7 percent of registered voters cast a ballot this election cycle.

That is 33,547 voters out of more than 213.300 plus registered to vote.

We had 19.67 percent cast ballots in the 2020 primary.

That was 40,100 plus voters out of just under 204,000 who were registered.

Early voting totals topped out at just over eight percent of the county following another week of early voting. 

More than 17,000 residents made their voices heard in Nueces County. 

The majority --now up to 58-percent-- chose to vote in the Republican primary.

When early voting numbers trickled in after the first week of early voting, and just under four percent of all Nueces County voters have cast a ballot.

The majority --61 percent-- chose to vote in the Republican primary.

Here's a look at the busiest and least busy polling locations after the first week of early voting:

The Deaf and Hard of hearing center has been the busiest by far --even busier than the courthouse.

More than 1,300 people have voted there.

The courthouse is second with Veterans Memorial High School at third.

The Bishop Multipurpose Building has only seen 102 over the past seven-days.

Carroll High School's new campus and the Island University have also barely seen any voters --just over 100.
