The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the City of Corpus Christi are teaming up for a week filled with resources for local business owners.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Monday kicked off National Small Business Week all over the country and here in the Coastal Bend.

The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the City of Corpus Christi are teaming up for a week filled with free seminars to strengthen our local entrepreneurs. The seminars will focus on topics such using internet tools, finance and leadership skills catered for small business owners.

Corpus Christi branch manager of the US Small Business Administration Monica Stuber said there are a wide array of resources available to small businesses and she said she is honored to be able to advocate for them.

"I am beyond honored to be able to congratulate and celebrate our small businesses," Stuber said. "I'm a very big advocate for small businesses, and I know that it takes a lot, not only on the entrepreneur but on the entrepreneurs' families, so we want to thank them for everything because without them, our communities wouldn't be where they are today

Tuesday offers a lunch and learn focusing on cybersecurity for small businesses. That will take place at noon at the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center.
