CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Hundreds of people came out Monday night in a sea of blue for a one-mile run in honor of fallen Corpus Christi police officer Kyle Hicks.
The 32-year-old was killed in the line of duty after responding to a domestic violence call just over a week ago.

Organizer Laura Perez Flores said in a statement that she's pleased to see so much support for the run.
"Thank you to everyone that is sharing and supporting this Honor Run. It is so nice to see Corpus Christi coming together for one of our own."
Monday night's Honor Run took place at Water's Edge Park in downtown and went along Shoreline Drive.
