Crew work to clean 40-gallon oil slick along Port Aransas Municipal Boat Ramp

The work crews used a pressure washer, VAC truck, active skimming, and absorbents.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi Incident management division duty team responded Wednesday to around 40-gallon oil slick that washed ashore at the Port Aransas Municipal Boat Ramp in Port Aransas. 

The team accessed the oil spill liability trust fund and partnered with the Texas General Land Office, the Port Aransas Harbor Master and contractors to remove the oil from the water and decontaminate structures around the boat ramp,

The work crews used a pressure washer, VAC truck, active skimming, and absorbents.
