A video of a motorcyclist out for a leisurely ride with his dog in his lap quickly went viral Sunday after it was shared it on our 3News Facebook page.

Some voiced concerns over the pet's safety.

The video was captured by a passerby along Ocean Drive who saw the pet sitting in front of the rider as they rolled by. The dog seemed to enjoy the experience.

There were some who spoke out against the act. One Facebook user said, "Risk your own life on a motorcycle. Leave the dog out of it."

Another asked if it's illegal.

3News looked into it by calling both local and state authorities and found no law against dogs riding on motorcycles with their owners.

What do you think? Should pets be allowed to ride with their motorcyclists?
