Temporary power outage planned for Padre Island

The outage is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 15th and should affect 1,225 customers on Padre Island.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Padre Island residents are expected to experience a loss of electricity for about three hours Wednesday morning to allow for crews with American Electric Power (AEP) to work on utility lines.

According to AEP, the outage is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 15th and should affect 1,225 customers on Padre Island. The utility line work will happen along Whitecap Boulevard past Dasmarinas Drive.

All AEP customers affected by the outage have received a recorded message to their registered phone numbers. Anyone with questions is encouraged to call the AEP Texas Customer Operations Center at (877) 373-4858.
