CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police were called to a fatal crash on Highway 37-North and Carbon Plant Road at around 3:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Alan Mendoza driving Southbound in the Northbound Lane. Medoza hit another vehicle while going the wrong way.
Officers found a male dead-on scene in his vehicle. Another man in that vehicle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation police found that Mendoza was intoxicated. He was arrested for intoxication, manslaughter, intoxication assault, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
He is currently booked into the Nueces County Jail on a $206-thousand-dollar bond.
